Colker Janitorial Supplies remains committed to helping our customers sparkle and shine, as we have for over 45 years.

Our Commitment to What Makes Us Shine

Colker Janitorial Supplies believes that a diverse and inclusive workplace in which all individuals are treated with dignity and respect makes us a better business. We promote fair and open access to career opportunities. We also support and proudly serve a diverse community of customers, large and small, so that all businesses in our region can thrive.  We value the variety of opinion, approach, perspective and talent of our customers, employees, suppliers and communities and believe that those are the cornerstones of our company's success.

Our Story

Our current success is driven by our proud history. In 1974, Lynne Colker purchased Samuel Westerman Import & Export, a small family-owned business, founded in 1916, which sold natural sea sponges and chamois cloths in the Pittsburgh area. Renamed L.M. Colker Company, Inc. soon after the purchase, Lynne Colker began to expand the sponge and chamois cloth business to include specialty cleaning products namely for window washers, commercial cleaners and small businesses.

Over the years, Lynne met the many challenges of being a woman business owner in a mostly male-dominated industry, and continued to grow her company into one of the region’s leading wholesale distributors of commercial cleaning supplies, serving customers throughout a range of industries. Lynne credits the growth and success of her company to her ability to “always listen to what the customer needs.”

Today, Lynne’s two children, Sandy Hanberry and Greg Colker, continue to follow their mother’s advice and still listen to the needs of customers. With an expanded ownership team and a friendly and knowledgeable staff, Colker Janitorial Supplies is here to meet and exceed the needs of our customers with a wide range of product offerings, on-site cleaning consultations, training and equipment repair services.

Now considered an innovative leader in the janitorial supplies, sanitary maintenance and commercial cleaning industries, Colker Janitorial Supplies will always be rooted in the legacy and values of a small, family-owned business.
